How is slewing bearing heat treatment?

Now the following is the steps for how to do the heat treatment on slewing bearing

First, induction heating device

Energy-saving IGBT intermediate frequency power supply, frequency 2.5KHz-8KHz, power 160KW, water-cooled.

Second, the quenching machine

Numerically controlled raceway quenching machine  can be used in both forward and reverse directions, applicable to the diameter of raceway quenching center φ400-φ5000; Numerically controlled gear quenching machine is applicable to the diameter of raceway quenching center φ400-φ2500.

Third, the quenching process

1. Raceway quenching

a) Clean the workpiece and adjust the two rollers to ensure the workpiece rotates smoothly;

b) Select a suitable sensor according to the shape of the raceway, and adjust the height of the workpiece numerically so that the position of the sensor is at the center of the workpiece to ensure that the combination of the sensor and the workpiece meets the requirements and is uniform;

c) Select a suitable water spray head and require the quenching liquid to be sprayed out uniformly;

d) Heating and quenching according to the requirements of quenching process parameters.

2. Gear quenching

a) Clean the workpiece, and place the workpiece on the workbench stably;

b) Select the appropriate inductor according to the gear parameters, and adjust the height of the workpiece numerically so that it is between the initial hardening position and the final hardening position of the inductor;

c) Select a suitable water spray head and require the quenching liquid to be sprayed out uniformly;

d) Heating and quenching according to the requirements of quenching process parameters;

e)Separating teeth quenching.

 Fourth, tempering

1. The objects that must be tempered in time after the slewing bearing surface is quenched are as follows:

a) all slewing bearings 2 meters above in diameter;

b) all slewing bearings use 42CrMo materials;

c) tooth root and tooth surface hardened;

d) slewing bearing which crack defects during quenching;

e) slewing bearing whose quenching hardness exceeds HRC63;

f) some slewing bearing with special requirements or uses;
